A master craftsman in woodworking, Alan had an exceptional talent for creating beautiful and intricate pieces. His dedication to his craft was evident in every project he undertook, reflecting both his skill and deep appreciation for artistry. Beyond woodworking, he was devoted to ballet and karate—two disciplines that required immense dedication and discipline, qualities he embodied throughout his life.

Alan’s love for the outdoors led him to explore rock climbing and caving in his younger years. He had an adventurous spirit that took him traveling to various places, always seeking new experiences and challenges. His appreciation for nature extended to animals as well; he had a deep love for them and found joy in their companionship.

Baptized Catholic, Alan honored his faith throughout his life. He was cherished by many people from all walks of life and formed lasting friendships wherever he went. Among those who held a special place in his heart was his best friend, Laurie McCreedy. He is also survived by many other friends who will remember him fondly.

Alan was predeceased by his parents, Katherine Hazel (Gala) Okopinski and Charles (Okie) Okopinski.
