Allen McKendree Moxley, known affectionately as "Mac," passed away on February 22, 2026, in Martinsburg, West Virginia, at the age of 86, after a courageous battle against multiple illnesses. Born on October 30, 1939, in Damascus, Maryland, Mac exemplified a vibrant spirit and an adventurous nature throughout his life.

Mac thrived in various endeavors, notably as a real estate professional and owner of a successful carpet & flooring business. His diverse skill set and ingenuity earned him the reputation of being a "jack of all trades." Beyond his professional achievements, Mac was a man of character and warmth, fondly remembered for his love of animals, especially his cats and dogs, whom he doted on and cared for with great affection.

Mac's personality drew in everyone around him, captivating friends and family alike with his unique charm. He enjoyed simple pleasures, such as watching classic episodes of Gunsmoke and daily visits to the local diner for breakfast with his beloved wife, Virginia Moxley, who predeceased him in September 2025. Their partnership was a testament to enduring love, and Mac's fondness for those cherished moments remains a treasured memory for his family.

Mac is survived by his daughter, Kathryn (Kitty) Knuppel, and her husband, Mike; his son, Allen Moxley Jr. (Mackie), who sadly passed away in December 2023; and his daughter, Angela King, along with her husband, Brad.
