Andrea passed on August 23, 2025, in Arlington, VA with her daughter by her side. She passed after a brief battle with metastatic lung cancer. Andrea was born in Washington, DC and was raised in Falls Church, VA by her loving parents Lester and Edith Hoblin.

Andrea graduated from J.E.B. Stuart High School in Falls Church, VA (currently Justice High School) in 1981. Andrea pursued a career in customer service over the next three decades. Andrea was a member of Church of the Pilgrims (PCUSA) in Washington, DC with whom she attended with her daughter, parents, and grandmother. Andrea met her future husband her senior year of high school and married Bennett Kent Stacks in May 1983 and had one daughter, Jennifer. Andrea enjoyed attending her husband's shows, who was a local drummer in several DC area bands. Andrea attended many concerts, loved going to the beach, photography, word search books, jigsaw puzzles, plants, Snoopy, penguins, scrapbooking, sewing, and crafts. 

Andrea was preceded in death by her husband of forty years, Bennett Kent Stacks, her mother Edith Mary White Hoblin, and father Lester Edwin Hoblin. Andrea is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Mary Stacks, her brother Mark (Jayne) Hoblin, nieces, cousins, and other family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, please plant a tree or flowers in memory of Andrea. Her favorites are: roses, azaleas, and crape myrtles.
