Ankita Mishra, Senior Vice President at Bank of America and a vibrant spirit full of joy and strength, passed away on April 3, 2026, at MedStar Georgetown. Born on February 1, 1990, Ankita's life was a remarkable blend of tenacity, love, and creativity that left an indelible mark on all who knew her.
Ankita was more than just a professional powerhouse; she was a radiant force of nature—fun, a little mischievous, and fiercely strong. Those who knew her admired the way she met life's challenges head-on, never flinching, never giving up, no matter how demanding the journey. Her laugh was infectious and her spirit bold, enveloping everyone around her with warmth and courage. The depth of her love for her family was a constant source of inspiration and comfort, transcending words and leaving a lasting legacy of devotion.
A woman of remarkable intellect and talent, Ankita earned her Masters from Stevens Institute of Technology. Her career in IT was marked by sharp acumen and unwavering dedication, earning her the respect and admiration of all who worked alongside her. As Senior Vice President at Bank of America, she not only excelled but also inspired countless others through her leadership and commitment.
But Ankita’s soul truly danced to the rhythm of music and movement. A gifted dancer, she had a unique ability to light up any room the moment music began to play. For her, music and dance were not merely hobbies—they were the language of her joy, the expression of her innermost spirit. This gift of movement was among her proudest accomplishments, reflecting the vibrancy and grace that defined her life.
Her family was the center of her universe. Ankita was a beloved aunt, famously adored by her niece and nephews—who cherished her as their favorite aunt, always spoiling them with boundless love and affection. She was the treasured daughter of Seeta Mishra and sister to Abhishek Mishra, Anupama Mishra, and Neelima Shukla. Ankita’s family circle also included her brother-in-law, Ajay Shukla, and her cherished niece and nephews—Aditi Shukla, Abhay Shukla, Atharv Mishra, and Amay Shukla—all of whom carry her memory in their hearts. She was preceded in death by her father, Shri Ashok Kumar Mishra, whose memory she honored throughout her life.
Ankita’s passing leaves a profound void filled with the echoes of her laughter, the rhythm of her dance, and the enduring love she shared so freely. Though her journey has ended, the strength, joy, and kindness she embodied remain deeply etched in the lives she touched.
In remembering Ankita Mishra, we celebrate a life lived with passion and purpose—a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, leader, and friend whose spirit will forever inspire and uplift all who were fortunate to know her.
