Anne Mildred Stewart

Anne Mildred (Costello) Stewart, of Springfield, Virginia, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 21, 2026.

Anne was a mother and grandmother who devoted much of her life to caring for her daughter, Erin. She was a dedicated, attentive caregiver who provided Erin with unwavering care and support until her final days. Her commitment to her daughter’s well-being was one of the most significant and enduring parts of her life.

Anne had dreams of establishing a homestead in Arkansas, where she envisioned a quieter lifestyle. She purchased property and a custom mobile home and was actively involved in designing it to suit both her and Erin’s needs. 

Anne is survived by her daughters, Jennifer Elizabeth Shipp, Cassandra Lynn Jones, and Erin Nicole Costello, and her grandchildren, Brennan, Maeve, Liam, Ian, and Avery.

She leaves behind a legacy of dedication to Erin and the dreams she continued pursuing throughout her life. Her memory will live on through the memories and connections she shared with those who knew her.
