Archana Rani Gupta, born on March 22, 1965, in Delhi, India, left us far too soon on January 6, 2026. A brilliant computer engineer, Archana was widely admired for her dedication, integrity, and excellence. Her distinguished career at CACI culminated in the receipt of her 15-Year Achievement Award, a testament to her unwavering commitment and professionalism.
An accomplished scholar, Archana was an alumna of the Delhi College of Engineering and went on to earn a Master of Engineering degree from the Indian Institute of Technology. Her pursuit of knowledge carried her to the United States, where she completed a second master’s degree in Computer Engineering from George Mason University. This remarkable academic journey laid a strong foundation for her success and reflected her lifelong passion for learning.
Beyond her professional achievements, Archana was a warm, vibrant soul whose kindness left a lasting impression on everyone she met. She had a subtle, delightful sense of humor and a natural ability to connect with people from all walks of life. A true social butterfly, she was known for her strong convictions, thoughtful perspectives, and engaging presence.
Archana embraced life with curiosity and joy. She was an avid reader who delighted in discovering new stories, and she found peace and happiness in gardening and caring for her beloved plants. A passionate cook, she loved seeking out new recipes and bringing family and friends together around the dining table. Archana also loved to dance, a reflection of her lively and joyful spirit. An enthusiastic traveler, she journeyed to over 20 countries and had a deep appreciation for learning about different cultures, traditions, and ways of life—an interest that enriched her worldview and those around her.
Archana will be remembered not only for her many accomplishments but for the light, laughter, and love she brought into the lives of those around her. She is survived by her devoted husband, Ajay Gupta; her beloved daughters, Shelly Gupta and Sanchita Gupta; her son-in-law, Arpit Shah; her grandchildren, Aanya and Shyla Shah; her cherished brother, Amit Jain; and her sister, Anjana Jain. She now reunites in eternal rest with her parents, Suresh Chand Jain and Kumud Jain, and her sister, Arpana Jain.
As we gather to celebrate the life of Archana Rani Gupta, we honor a legacy of love, loyalty, curiosity, and grace. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her, and she will be deeply missed.
