Barbara Robinson (née Brown), of Annandale, VA, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2025, leaving behind a life defined by family, curiosity, and steadfast care for others.
Born on December 22, 1944, in Philadelphia, PA, Barbara was the eldest of eight children born to Florence and William Brown. She was predeceased by her parents; and her siblings William, Warren, Helen, Joan, and Robert.
A woman of sharp intellect, Barbara received her high school diploma from Simon Gratz High School and degrees from Cheney State College and University of Illinois Urbana-Campaign. Barbara also her earned her PhD, a reflection of her lifelong love of learning. She shared a life of adventure with her husband Wade Robinson (deceased). Together they traveled extensively, including time living abroad in Europe, Pakistan and more. No matter where life took her, family remained her anchor.
Barbara loved sewing, challenging herself with brain games, and relaxing with British cooking shows always appreciating skill, creativity, and a well-earned result. Barbara was someone others could rely on without question, always present and quietly generous with her time and care.
Above all, she was a doting grandmother in every way that mattered to Regan and Gabriel Miller, offering love, guidance, and unwavering support.
She is survived by her sisters, Elaine and Joyce; grandchildren Regan and Gabriel; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
