PURDY, Betty Lou, 85, of Alexandria, Virginia, passed away Thursday, January 29, at her home surrounded by her loving family.She was born March 21, 1940, in Alexandria, Virginia, and was the daughter of the late Thomas Purdy and Bertha Carlyle Purdy.She was the loving mother of Beth Purdy and Leigh Purdy, and a devoted grandmother to Tyler, Ciera, Brehanna, and Tihanna.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Richard Purdy and Thomas Purdy. She is survived by her brother, Don Purdy (Millie), Her sister-in-law Linda Purdy, and three nephews, Tom Purdy, Mark Purdy and Richard Purdy.

She will be remembered for her love of family and the special place she held in the hearts of those who loved her. She will be dearly missed.A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
