Beverly Jean Danby

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Beverly Jean Danby, beloved mother, grandmother “Mina”, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, 78, of Woodbridge, VA on July 24, 2025.

Beverly was born in Carlsbad, NM to the late George A. Beaver and Marjorie E. Walworth. Beverly is survived by her son, Shawn Danby and his wife Leigh Danby and her daughter, Cherie L. Bolling and her husband Robert E. Bolling, sisters, Susan Lemmon, Nancy Sterling, Paula Rudolph, 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren with the 7th due in August 2025, 2 step great grandchildren, as well as, nieces and nephews.

Beverly’s mother, later married the late Charles Earl Stone who served in the USAF, and they lived in Florida, Alaska, Spain, Nebraska and Virginia.

She graduated high school in 1965 at Bellevue High school in Omaha, Nebraska.

Beverly was married to Richard F.W. Danby for 37 years. She led an eventful life with Richard as he served in the USAF while living in Hawaii, Missouri, Nebraska, Germany and Virginia.

Beverly enjoyed gardening, crocheting, cooking, teaching cake decorating and traveling. She also was a crafter of many talents and was an exceptional seamstress. Her favorite was enjoying time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. While working many jobs over the years her last job was with Home Instead working with elderly people.

A service and celebration of life is scheduled for Friday, August 8, 2025 at 11:00 am at Harbour View Special Events Center, 13200 Marina Way, Woodbridge, VA 22191

She was, and will forever remain, a treasured and cherished mother, sister, aunt, grandmother "Mina", great grandmother and friend in the hearts of all who knew her.
