Mrs. Carla B. Lee, 71, of Round Hill, Virginia sadly passed away on May 25, 2024. Carla was born on November 20, 1952 in Oklahoma to William and Mildred Barclay. She was a 1975 graduate of the University of Florida majoring in education. Carla worked as an elementary school teacher in a number of civilian and Department of Defense Elementary Schools in Georgia, California, Belgium, Germany and Panama. She loved teaching children; talking/e-mailing/texting/helping her family and friends; reading; traveling; listening to her favorite artists; swimming and walking on the beach, and playing ping pong and Scrabble.  She always put the needs of others ahead of her own.

She is survived by her husband of over 48 years Colonel (retired) Charles (Chuck) B. Lee Jr., who will miss her everyday for the rest of his life, as well as aunts, nephews and nieces in Florida, Kansas, and Virginia. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Robert Barclay.  Carla will be interred at the Arlington National Cemetery.

There will be a celebration of Carla’s life on Wednesday, 10 July, 2024 from 1:30 to 4 p.m. at the Daytona Beach Shores Community Center, 3000 Bellemead Drive, Daytona Beach Shores, Florida 32118.
