Catherine Joan Manzella

Catherine Joan Manzella, 78, went to be with her Heavenly Father on February 11, 2026. Born in Brooklyn, NY, on August 3, 1947, to Anna Virginia Ailes and John M. Arthur, Catherine carried that classic Brooklyn moxie and a heart of gold throughout her life.

Catherine loved life. She loved her family and her friends (and all of their pets.) She possessed a generous spirit that knew no bounds. She was the mother and grandmother who was always up for an adventure and the friend who ensured no one ever left her presence without a smile. Catherine was fun, kind, and a lifelong caregiver.

Her legacy of joy lives on through her children, Thomas Manzella (M’Lissa) and Kim Strohecker (Scott). She adored her four adult grandchildren: Briley (Giovanni), Austin, Delaney, and Eric. Most recently, she found a new spark of joy as a great-grandmother to little Callum.

Catherine is survived by her brothers John, Ronald and Albert Arthur, along with many beloved nieces and nephews. She now joins her Heavenly family: her parents; her husband, Louis Manzella; her sister, Elizabeth Cody; and her sister-in-law, Angela Ruffino.

In Catherine’s honor, the family asks for donations to a local animal rescue, as well as many, many, random acts of kindness.
