Cathy Zarcone DuVal

Cathy Zarcone DuVal, age 73, of Stuart, Florida passed away peacefully on November 20, 2024 in Leesburg, Virginia.

Cathy was born in Coral Gables, Florida to the late Carl and Nori Zarcone on December 2, 1950. Cathy was preceded in death by her older sister, Dianne, and her younger brother, Brian. Cathy is survived by her son, Michael DuVal (Jennifer); her niece, Brenna Molinary; her two grandchildren, Allison and Christopher; her grandnephew, Jayden; and her brother Brent (Katherine). 

Cathy worked in insurance, but her true loves were the beach, the pool, gardening, shopping, and most importantly her family! Cathy was an amazing “Grammy” and “Aunt Cathy”. Spending time with Jayden, Allison, and Christopher brought her so much joy! Cathy loved being outdoors walking the beach, tending her butterfly garden, and listening to the birds. It is because of this love, that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Gumbo Limbo Nature Center – a place that she loved sharing with us. The Gumbo Limbo Nature Center inspires stewardship of coastal and marine ecosystems through education, sea turtle conservation, and research in partnership with Florida Atlantic University and the City of Boca Raton.
