IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Charles Robert

To Family, Friends,& Acquaintances, it's with great sadness I announce the Passing of our Father, your friend, your neighbor. I'll be updating this memorial so check back from time to time for my adds and those of which who knew him.
For now, though, I'll share with you that I was able to spend time with my father just before his passing, conversation was on his being ready to Die, candidly telling me in the next day or so. Well sadly he was right. That brief time together was different, we talked about him not wanting to be in pain, about the care and welfare of his roommate, about some good times and some bad times, and maybe most importantly the service and quality of the Ice Water he was getting.
We talked as much as he was able, in between the Nurse Checks and Doctors dropping in, so glad I had that time to spend with him, some closure, some forgiveness, some time spent never to selfishly have again.
As coincidence's go, I visited the last time, to the background of a Woodstock Movie, a more inappropriate version i guess not censored by the Hospital, how fittingly, though, the many parallel's to the era and my Dads life as he lived it.
A fitting quote, and one of many about Woodstock: Listen Everybody just sit down, wrap yourself up, were going to have to ride it out. Hold on to your neighbor man . ( Thanks GPT Chat )
Speaks to me on how My Dad was that person who never met a stranger, who was your neighbor, maybe the one next door, maybe the one miles apart, but your friend nevertheless to ride it out.
Missed but not Forgotten. Your Son.
