Charles Michael Magrum 84 passed away on August 31at Great Falls Memory Care. He was born March, 1941 in Buffalo New York. He graduated from Norfolk High School, the University of Detroit with a mechanical engineering degree and from the University of Buffalo with an MBA. After being in ROTC in college , he served in the Army for 2 years including a tour in Vietnam. He had a 40 year career with the federal government as a budget analyst and an associate director a the Department of Defense. Predeceased by his parents Gervase and Alice Magrum and grandson Zachary. He is survived by his wife Lenore (Lynn) of 56 years and his children Eric Magrum and Alissa Magrum, daughter in law Alysia and grandchildren Noah Boswinkel-Magrum and Ella Magrum-Stanley and his sisters- Ann Rowland and Jane Quinn. Charlie (smilin' Charlie) was a generous, loving man volunteered as a coach for many of his childrens sports teams, Habitat for Humanity, diocesan workcamp and the church finance committee and as treasurer and president of the Rustfield HOA. Memorial mass will be held at St. John Neumann Catholic church in Reston, Virginia on September 22 with visitation at 10am and mass at 11am with a reception to follow at the church. In lieu of flowers donations in Charlie's memory can be made to Alzheimer's Association or Catholic Relief services.
