Christine Lee Jacoby was born in Washington, DC, on October 2, 1942, to Robert K Jacoby (1923 - 1987) and Lucille Jacoby (1925 - 2001). She graduated from Anacostia High School, married Amiel Summers (1922 - 2020) in 1964, and lived as a homemaker and activist in Adams Morgan. She later moved to Northern VA, settling in Manassas Park. Christine Summers is survived by spouse Catherine Penney, brother Robert Jacoby, sons Kevin, Khaleel, Anthony and several grandchildren. She passed away after a quiet battle with lung cancer on August 13, 2024. A memorial is being planned and will be announced at a later date.
