Christopher Thomas Jones "Toby"

Toby was born June 11, 1972, to Wilbur & Jo Ann Jones. Toby was a delightful child who was always laughing & smiling. Toby had many different jobs, all of which loved. He started at Henry's Wreck Service, where he loved the fast pace & challenges of tow truck driving. He then worked at Cassidy Pinkard as a building engineer, where he learned many different trades. Toby always spoke fondly of his former tenants & missed them.  Toby moved to Isle of Palms, SC where he worked for Sherry Johnson doing a wide variety of jobs. Toby loved working for Sherry & always being challenged with new tasks. Living at the beach gave him lots of opportunity to fish, which was a passion of his since he was a small child fishing at his grandma's house in Indiana.  Among Toby's many talents, he learned that he was especially gifted at woodwork & loved making & hand painting fishing lures. Toby moved back to Virginia from South Carolina in 2015 & was able to focus all of his attention to his fish lure business, Funny Farm Tackle.

Toby was incredibly funny.  He was always coming up with funny pranks or would take any bet to make people laugh.  Toby was also unbelievably smart & creative.  He had lots of ideas for inventions & even had an invention he tried to patent.  He could learn to do anything & he always excelled at it.  Toby loved playing billiards & was really very good.  Toby loved cooking & had several signature dishes.  He really could do anything!

Toby was blessed to meet his birth mother, Rose Carter & his 3 half-brothers: Jeff Shackleford, Danny Shackleford & Daryl Carter.  They could almost finish each other's sentences from the first time they met.

Toby had two daughters whom he loved dearly, Hailey & Kaitlynn.  Sadly, Hailey proceeded him in passing.  

Toby is survived by Jo Ann Jones (mother), Kaitlynn Reddington (daughter), Amanda Jones (sister), Rose Carter (birth mother), Jeff Shackleford (brother), Danny Shackleford (brother) & Daryl Carter (brother).

Toby was proceeded by death by Wilbur Jones (father), Hailey Jones (daughter), Raymond Perry (grandfather), Rosalee Jones (grandmother), & Ruth Jones (grandmother) & Wilbur Jones (grandfather)
