Cody William Short

Cody William Short, born on May 8, 1995, in Baltimore, Maryland, departed this world far too soon on January 14, 2025, in Washington, DC. He was a devoted and loving father to his two beautiful daughters, Anastasia and Mila, who were the light of his life. Cody’s love for his girls was boundless; he cherished every moment spent with them, creating memories filled with laughter and joy.

He is survived by his parents, Billy and Sandra Short. Cody deeply valued his relationships with his brothers. He is survived by his brothers—Travis Short, Zachary Wendeborn, and Josiah Johnson—who will forever hold him close in their hearts. Together, they shared countless experiences that forged unbreakable bonds and a lifetime of brotherly love.

Cody is also survived by his sister-in-law, Cindy Molesworth, and his cherished niece, Sophie Short. Cody loved his friendships the mothers of his children Julie White and Kaitlyn Fernandez, whose love and support remained an important part of his life.

Known as the life of the party, Cody had a spirit that drew people in. His enthusiasm for life was infectious, and he brought happiness to those around him. Whether he was at an electronic dance music event or sharing a quiet moment with family and friends, he radiated warmth and positivity. Cody's love for music often led him on adventures filled with vibrant beats and cherished friendships, where he would dance his heart out, making connections and memories that would last a lifetime.

Though Cody's time on this Earth was brief, his legacy of love, laughter, and dedication to family will continue to inspire all who knew him. He leaves behind a treasure trove of memories that will be cherished by his daughters, brothers, and all those whose lives he touched. Cody will be lovingly remembered, and his spirit will live on in the hearts of many.
