Listen to Obituary

The road you walked was steep and long,

Yet through it all, your faith stayed strong.

You chose the path of grace and love,

And now you rest in peace above.

I watched you fight so hard each day,

As piece by piece you slipped away.

The long, hard journey at last is done,

Your quiet, painful battle won.

No more pain, no heavy cross,

Just perfect healing for our loss.

A devoted husband, a guiding light,

A father who made our world so bright.

Your hands were strong, your heart was kind,

The beautiful life you left behind

The finest father, gentle and true,

Our children’s hearts are shaped by you.

Go rest now, my love, your soul is free,

Safe in the arms of Our majesty.

Through you we live on, with memories to share,

Until we meet in God’s safe care.

Celebrating the beautiful life of Damien Misquith, a gentle, kind, loving dad and husband, with a big beautiful smile.

Damien Misquith lived a full, vibrant life defined by unwavering faith, deep love for his family, and a generous spirit. Born in Chennai, India, Damien moved to the United States in 2002, where he earned his MBA at Missouri State University and built a successful long career with ING Advisors and Gartner. He thrived in the corporate world, taking joy in mentoring colleagues and helping others excel.

Adventurous at heart, Damien loved the outdoors. He also had a true passion for cooking, firmly believing that sharing a meal brings people together. He filled a room with laughter and joy, and loved life to the fullest. He was a loving husband and a deeply devoted father. His family was his world and his greatest joy. The home he built was rooted in kindness, love, and compassion. As a dad, he poured his heart into raising his daughters, teaching them not through words alone, but by the beautiful example of how he lived his life. He walked beside them with patience and tenderness, teaching them that the true measure of a man is found in the gentleness of his heart and the strength of his character. He cherished his roles as a faithful husband, loving father to his two daughters, and a wonderful son and brother to his family.

Professionally, he was exceptionally hardworking, and admired by all who worked alongside him. He brought a rare work ethic to everything he did, approaching his job with dedication, integrity, and a passion for excellence. He was an excellent project manager and worked years in corporate business consulting, his co-workers loved his strong work ethic, his ever ready willingness to help no matter how busy he was, his dry yet funny sense of humor, his long hours helping manage release cycles, project meetings and IT tickets. He met everyone at work with kindness, humility and and compassion.

Diagnosed with brain cancer at age of 28, Damien faced many battles over the years, with strength, courage and steadfast faith, knowing God is always watching over you. He was a man defined by a deep faith that guided his every step. Throughout his long illness, his relationship with God remained an anchor of hope and strength, inspiring everyone who bore witness to his journey. He faced each day with grace, never losing his gratitude for the life he was given or the family he cherished. The long, beautiful life he lived despite his diagnosis stands as a powerful testament to God’s grace, healing, and blessing in his life.

His absence leaves a deep void in our hearts, but his bright smile and even bigger heart will remain an enduring symbol of hope, love, and resilience for anyone facing life's greatest challenges. He will be greatly missed by his wife, daughters and family members.

Rest in the Lord’s eternal peace, my love. You fought the good fight, you finished the race, and you kept the faith.

“The only way to cheat death is to love.”
