Darryl Gorman
Mueller
May 30, 1964 – May 23, 2026
Darryl Gorman Mueller, passed away on May 23, 2026, in Annandale. Born on May 30, 1964, in Leonardtown, Darryl lived a life marked by his love of music, sports, and the simple joys of life, including crossword puzzles and memorable outings to ball games.
Darryl's personality was uniquely his own—marked by a sharp sarcasm that those close to him came to cherish. He was a man of complexities, described by those who knew him as both good and bad, generous and fun-loving. His life was a mixture of triumphs and struggles, including his battle with alcoholism, during which he experienced years of sobriety, though unfortunately not enough to overcome the challenge fully.
A passionate fan of the Redskins, Capitals, and Orioles, Darryl found joy in attending or watching games, keeping his spirit alive through the world of sports. These events served as treasured moments that he shared particularly with his children, whom he loved deeply.
Darryl is survived by his three sons, Nathan Mueller, Christopher Mueller, and Justin Mueller, who carry forward his legacy. He is also remembered fondly by his nephews, Matthew Dobson and Michael Mueller. His grandchildren—Violet, Jaxon, Dixie, Braxton, Maxwell, Sutton, and Roxanne Mueller—are a testament to the ongoing impact of his presence and love in their lives.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Reno; his father, Donald Mueller; and his sister, Dawn Mueller, who no doubt held a special place in his heart.
Those who knew Darryl remember him as a man who, despite his flaws, brought fun, generosity, and a love for life into the lives of others. His memory lives on not only in the hearts of his family and friends but also in the many moments shared on ballfields, during road trips, and at sports arenas.
Darryl Gorman Mueller’s life, with all its challenges and passions, will be remembered with respect and affection by those who had the privilege to know him.
