David Randall Giuliani, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, was born on February 17, 1952, in Arlington, Virginia. He passed away on February 23, 2025, at INOVA Fairfax, surrounded by the love of his life, Elizabeth Needham Giuliani, and their treasured sons, Stephen A. Giuliani and Patrick R. Giuliani.
David’s career journey spanned nearly four decades as an HVAC mechanic and facilities manager with the phone company, where he contributed his skills to C&P Telephone, AT&T, Bell Atlantic, and eventually Verizon. It was at work where he met his wife, whom he cherished for over 37 years. Their partnership was a testament to love and devotion, providing a foundation for a family that David held dear.
An alumnus of Wakefield High School, class of 1970, David cultivated a life rich with humor and affection. Though he was naturally private, those who knew him well would attest to his ability to make others feel comfortable with his lighthearted spirit and sense of humor. He took immense pride in his family, celebrating every achievement and milestone with unparalleled joy and dedication.
David found great delight in spending time on the golf course, often relishing the day with a fine glass of wine and a fire. His love for adventure led him to travel, camp, and cheer enthusiastically at soccer games—always cherishing these moments with family and friends. Also a football fan, you would hear him giving his color commentary every weekend, watching the Redskins or English Premier League.
In addition to his beloved wife and sons, David is survived by his daughters-in-law, Katie and Mary, who enhanced his family life and filled his heart with pride. As a grandfather, known affectionately as Caesar, he brought fun and laughter to his grandchildren, Sebastian, Grayson, and Layla Giuliani, who will carry his memory in their hearts forever. He is also survived by his loving siblings, Ann (Rich) Wolfe, Stephen (Debbie) Giuliani, and Tina (Joe) Schiavone, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws all of whom shared in his kindness and warmth.
David’s legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched with his unwavering love and humor. As we remember him, we celebrate a life well-lived, filled with laughter, love, and an enduring spirit that will forever inspire those he leaves behind. He is reunited in eternal rest with his parents, Dominic Giuliani and Adele T. Randall Giuliani, who welcomed him with open arms.
A tree will be planted by Carewell Cremations in David's memory; in lieu of flowers, consider a contribution to (use these links) St. Jude's Research Hospital, Wounded Warrior Project, or Braddock Road Youth Club.
