Deborah Lynn
Flor
May 1, 1951 — Sep 24, 2026
Falls Church, Virginia
Deborah Lynn Flor (Debbie) passed away on September 24, 2026 following a 6-year battle with dementia. She was 75 years of age.
Debbie was a fearless woman who never shied from exciting opportunities and was devoted to her family and friends. In 1978, she graduated John Marshall Law School, where she also met her husband, Gerard W. Stagnato. After a short stint working for the American Bar Association–where the desk work clearly wasn’t exciting enough–Debbie decided to train to become a special agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. She spent twenty years in that career while also raising two children–Anne and Kit (Flor-Stagnato). Once she retired from the FBI, Debbie practiced estate law alongside her husband. She carried on as a solo practitioner after his unexpected death in 2011.
When not working, Debbie was always happy to spend time with others, especially her close network of girlfriends and her three grandsons. She thrilled at Girls’ Nights Out and trips to Aruba with her friends and gamely accompanied her grandsons on their adventures to the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum and trip to get milkshakes at Silver Diner. She leaves behind her love to her children, her son-in-law Daniel, her grandsons, and her many friends.
