Diane Lee Kent, affectionately known as "Dee," passed away peacefully at her home on May 5, 2026. Born Diane Lee Spangenburg on May 3, 1956.

A dedicated professional, Diane earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from George Mason University, a testament to her passion for caring for others. Throughout her life, she combined her nurturing spirit with a remarkable ability to connect, often best expressed through her distinguishable laugh that had the power to light up any room.

Beyond her professional achievements, Diane was deeply passionate about gardening, cooking, and fishing. Her home was a haven where no one ever left hungry — her culinary talents and generous hospitality were treasured by all who knew her. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life and took great pride in adopting dogs in need from the local animal shelter, offering them loving homes and a second chance.

Diane is survived by her father, Jack Spangenburg; sister Tammy Bowen and brother-in-law Richard Bowen; daughter Stacey Cornwell and son-in-law William Cornwell III; and nephew Joseph Schell. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Stufft; mother, Fae Spangenburg; and sister, Laurie Schell.

In honoring Diane’s life, we remember a woman who gave freely of herself, whose laughter and love made a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
