Dolores Carey Johnson entered eternal rest on January 26, 2025. She was born in Verdunville, Louisiana to the late Frank Carey Sr. and Violet Caffrey Carey. Dolores was a woman of faith who was always willing to pray and share her wisdom and life experience with others. She loved to laugh and enjoyed spending time with family and traveling. Dolores was preceded in death by her husband Elmo A. Johnson, daughters Carol A. Harvey, Cassandra A. Johnson, siblings Frank Carey, Jr., Anell C. Green, and Elizabeth LaBranch. Dolores is survived by her children Lynette E. Johnson and Guy A. Laiche, grandchildren Donnie Brown and Joshua Laiche, siblings Welton Carey, Sr., Mary Frances Jones, Catherine C. Hicks, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Interment at Carrollton Cemetery No. 1 New Orleans, Louisiana. Services entrusted to Carewell Cremations, Fairfax, Virginia.
