Donna Marie Moran, of Alexandria, Virginia, died on September 12, 2025, in Annandale, Virginia.

Born on February 3, 1948, to Dominic and Dorothea De Luca, Donna grew up on Staten Island, New York. She graduated from St. Peter’s Girls High School and attended Notre Dame College (Staten Island) and Towson University in Maryland.

On February 1, 1969, she married Noel A. Moran, Jr., also of Staten Island. The couple initially lived in Baltimore, Maryland, and later in Watertown and New Hartford, New York; Manchester, Connecticut; and Salisbury, Maryland, before settling in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania. Donna lived there for 38 years before moving to Alexandria, Virginia. Together, Donna and Noel raised two children. Noel passed away in November 2011.

Donna worked as a teacher in the Baltimore County Public School system, served as office manager at K&L Feeds in Selinsgrove, and later as a coordinator for Selinsgrove Meals on Wheels. She was deeply involved in Selinsgrove Projects, Inc.’s revitalization efforts, including serving for several years as chief coordinator of the borough’s White Christmas celebration.

Donna was an avid lover of history and classic movies. She collected antiques, a passion she shared with her mother, who was an antique dealer. An exceptional cook, Donna was adventurous in the kitchen but especially known for her “Sunday gravy,” a treasured recipe rooted in her Italian family traditions.

Donna is survived by her sister, Doretta De Luca of Dunedin, Florida; her sister-in-law, Harriette Moran of Nanuet, New York; and her close friends Gloria Gebhart and Desire Covaleski.

A memorial service will be held at Arlington National Cemetery when arrangements can be made with cemetery staff.
