Edith Alice Zeiba

Edith Alice Zeiba, age 93, passed away naturally at home on July 24, 2026 in Columbia, Maryland. She was born on February 5, 1933 in Kingston, New Hampshire to the late William & Edith Milbury.

She is survived by her loving children, Sonny (Janice), Michael (Diane), and Stephanie (Derek); as well as her grandchildren, Dean (Darlene), Koreen (Jay), Michael, Jamie (Jen), and Megan (Tommy). She is also survived by her great-grandchildren Destiny, Kayla (Nick), Brent, and Nora; her great-great-grandson Bentley; along with many other family and friends who will miss her greatly.

Whether we call her Mom, Grammy, Gram Z, Edith or Eddie, she was a person with a big heart and full of life. Edith loved deeply and once you were loved by her; you were loved for life. Her legacy of joy, humor, resilience, and love will be carried forward by those who had the privilege of knowing her.

Edith was a hard worker, working until she was 85 at Nielson on mailing machinery. However, she would tell you that she wished she could continue going to work. She always wanted to be helpful and moving, as her coworkers and friends often called her “the energizer bunny”. Edith also loved a good game of Bingo or cards with her family, and whether she won or lost she enjoyed the company the most.

A celebration of life will be held in the Fall.
