With broken hearts but with trust in God's love and mercy, we announce the passing of Elie Antoine Moukarzel, who left this world on April 7, 2026.

Elie was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Gisele Moukarzel, and a proud and loving father to his three sons, Anthony, Keenan, and Jude. A man of faith, Elie held close the poignant truth found in the biblical phrase, "Dust you are and to dust you shall return" (Genesis 3:19). This profound recognition of life’s fragility and the promise beyond this earthly existence was a guiding light for him and those who loved him.

Elie’s memorial Mass will be held on April 17, 2026, at Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Church located at 7142 Alaska Ave NW in Washington, DC, starting at 12:00pm noon with services concluding at 1:00 PM. It is here that family, friends, and all who were touched by Elie’s kindness and warmth will gather to honor his memory, celebrate his life, and bid a heartfelt farewell.

Following the service a mercy meal will take place at the family's residency "Club House" at 20799 Royal Palace Square, Sterling, VA.
