Erma Ivy (Minor), affectionately known as “CoCo” to those closest to her, was born on January 16, 1947, in Washington, D.C., and passed away on September 19, 2026, in Rockville, Maryland.
CoCo will be remembered for the love she had for her family and the special place they held in her heart. She adored her grandchildren and cherished the time she shared with them. She had a deep love for animals and found joy and comfort in crocheting, a craft that reflected her creativity and caring nature.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lenora Minor (Weaver), George Minor and Gretchen Minor.
CoCo leaves to cherish her memory her son, Stephen Ivy, and his wife, Elysia; her daughter, Evelyn Nicholas (Ivy), and her husband, Andre Nicholas; and her beloved grandchildren, Brennan Nicholas, Evan Nicholas, and Elaina Ivy.
She is also survived by her twin sister, Evelyn Jones (Minor), and her husband, Elmer Jones, and her sister, Gretchen Leftrict (Minor). She leaves behind three nieces, four nephews, a host of cousins, and many dear friends who will remember her with love and affection.
