Esther Irene Harris Bryant

Esther Irene Harris Bryant, 88, of Halifax, Virginia, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2026.

Esther was born on December 11, 1937, to the late George and Eva Harris. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend whose warmth, strength, and love touched generations of her family. She loved deeply, spoke her mind, and left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her life and legacy will live on through the family she loved so dearly and the countless memories she leaves behind.

Esther was preceded in death by her parents, George and Eva Harris and her beloved daughter, Deborah Harris.

She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Ronnie Harris (Angel) Bernetta Carter (Thomas); Darriel Bryant (Trena); and Tammy Harris.

Esther’s loving legacy continues through her grandchildren: Mora Porter and Brandon Porter (Brittany), children of the late Deborah Harris; Cortez Harris Sr. and Tershera Harris, children of Ronnie Harris; and Angela Jeffries and Troy Brooks, children of Darriel Bryant.

She was also blessed with her great-grandchildren: Zoe Reed, Noah Porter, Cortez Harris Jr., Montez Harris, Kaelynn Harris, Kiersten Jones, Beau Harris, Cruz Taylor, and Jayce Harris.

Esther’s memory will forever be cherished by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched. Though she has departed this earthly life, the love she gave, the memories she created, and the family she helped build will continue to carry her legacy forward for generations to come.
