It is with profound sorrow and deep love that we announce the passing of Eugenia Marie Lucas, affectionately known as Genia, who left this world on June 17, 2025, in Aldie, Virginia, after a courageous battle with Stage 4 cancer. Born on October 9, 1989, in Kazakhstan, Genia touched the lives of many and will forever be remembered for her strength, passion, and unwavering God fearing, loving spirit.

As a devoted wife to her beloved partner Ariel, Genia was the heart of her family, balancing the joys and challenges of motherhood with grace and resilience. She was the proud mother of five young children: Aerie, Sasha, Aiden, Brenna, and Michael, each of whom was a source of delight and pride for her. Genia’s nurturing nature and infectious laughter brought warmth to her home.

Genia was more than just a mother and wife; she was a sister to Zarina, Chris, and Stephen, who will miss her deeply. Her bonds with her siblings were characterized by shared experiences and the love that only sisters and brothers can know.

The embodiment of strength, Genia faced her illness with an inspiring courage that served as a beacon of hope for those who had the privilege of knowing her. Even in her final days, she remained passionate about life, demonstrating a tenacity that left an indelible mark on everyone around her. She enriched lives with her kindness, her laughter, and her impactful spirit that transformed the mundane into moments of magic. She loved her some Jesus! 

Her compassion was evident in everything she did, from her tender care for her family to her desire to uplift everyone she encountered. Friends and family played an essential role in her journey, illuminating her path with their love and support during both joyous moments and times of struggle.

Though we grieve deeply for the light that has been dimmed too soon, we also celebrate the extraordinary legacy Genia leaves behind—a legacy of love, strength, and an unyielding spirit that will continue to inspire those fortunate enough to carry her memory. Genia Marie Lucas will forever be remembered as a loving wife, a dedicated mother, a cherished sister, and a wonderful friend. May her soul rest in peace, embraced by the love she so freely gave in life.
