Eunice Lorraine Williams, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2025, at the age of 71. Born in Anchorage, Alaska on June 24, 1953, Lorraine’s life was defined by love, laughter, and an unwavering commitment to family.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Arles Jones; father, Eunice Haywood; her brother, Robert Adams and Step-Father, Herbert Jones. Lorraine leaves behind her devoted sister, Eva Jones, and brothers, Artis Haywood and Alex Haywood. She is also survived by her cherished daughters, Detrice Haywood and Normeka Williams, and her adoring grandchildren, Khadeja Gregg, Kiara Williams, Kamiyah Moore, Ka’Liyah Moore, and her grandson, Khaiheem Thompson. Additionally, she is survived by her nieces, Tunisia Adams and Rochelle King, her nephew, Kenan Haywood, and a host of cousins, great nieces, and great nephews who will always remember her love and warmth.

Lorraine’s life was a testament to the power of love and family. A woman of boundless joy, she found profound happiness in the simple moments spent with those she cherished. Whether it was the sound of her grandchildren’s laughter filling her home, or the wisdom she imparted to her children, Lorraine created an enduring legacy of warmth and connection that will forever live in the hearts of those who knew her.

Known affectionately as “Sugar Pudding” to her coworkers and friends, Lorraine was a trailblazer in her career, making history as the first female quarry driver at Vulcan Materials in Lorton Va. She was passionate about her work, and driving trucks brought her a sense of pride and joy. Lorraine also had a love for adventure, enjoying travel, attending concerts, riding motorcycles, and spending time with her beloved dog, Puggles.

Her light shone brightly in every interaction, and she had a rare ability to make everyone feel like family. Lorraine’s home was always open to others, and she treated each person with the same kindness and love she gave her own family.

As we mourn her loss, we also celebrate her life—a life full of love, laughter, and unforgettable moments. May her memory be a source of solace and strength to those who were lucky enough to know her. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
