Frank R. Messier, born on January 15, 1951, in Worcester, Massachusetts, passed away on December 31, 2025, in Alexandria, Virginia. He was a unique individual who left an indelible mark on the lives of those who knew him.

A  graduate of Assumption College in 1973, Frank cultivated a deep appreciation for education throughout his life. His interests extended well beyond academics, as he developed a profound appreciation for the fine arts. Whether exploring museums or delving into various art books, Frank found joy in beautiful works that expressed the human experience.

His love for music was expansive; ranging from classical pieces to the vibrant rhythms of jazz and of rock. This diverse musical palette enriched his life and allowed him to connect with others in a unique and meaningful way.

In addition to his passions for art and music, Frank was a culinary enthusiast who delighted in the flavors of diverse cultures. His palate could have earned him the title of bon vivant, should conditions have allowed him to embrace that lifestyle. The joys of the table and quality food brought happiness to his life, illuminating the importance he placed on experiences that were rich and fulfilling.

An avid reader, Frank dedicated considerable time to literature, immersing himself in stories that spanned various genres and themes. His thirst for knowledge and understanding through books reflected his intellectual curiosity and desire to engage with the world around him.

Frank is survived by his beloved sister, Virginia M. Gosselin, brother-in-law Roland Gosselin, and two nieces, Solange Leavitt and Naomi Valera. His family will carry forward his legacy of enthusiasm for art, music, fine food, and literature, remembering him not only for his passions but for the joy and kindness he brought to their lives.
