George Yuvannidis, a dedicated Military Barber whose life was marked by steadfast service and deep commitment to family, passed away on April 16, 2026, in Alexandria, Virginia. Born on September 15, 1958, in Constantinople, Turkey.

 George was a beloved husband, father, brother, and uncle. He is survived by his wife, Judy Yuvannidis, who stood by him through every chapter of their shared life. Their son, Alexander Yuvannnidis, carries forward the legacy of love and strength instilled by his father. George’s familial bonds extended warmly through his sister Areti Halstead and her husband Jerry Halstead, whose lives were enriched by his presence. His niece and nephew, Jerry Halstead Jr. and Lexi Halstead, also remember him with affection and pride.

A memorial service to honor George’s memory will be held on May 9, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Unity of Fairfax, located at 2854 Hunter Mill Rd, Oakton, Virginia 22124. This gathering will offer an opportunity for family, friends, and all whose lives he touched to come together in remembrance and gratitude for a life well-lived.
