IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Gerald Vincent
Williams
September 11, 1958 – December 9, 2025
Gerald Vincent Williams
Gerald (Jerry) Vincent Williams, longtime resident of the Iron Range, MN, 67, went home to his Savior on December 9, 2025. Jerry was born September 11, 1958 in Baltimore, MD, the son of the late John and Anna (Hahn) Williams. Jerry was one of seven children. Jerry graduated from Ely High School in 1976. Six years later, he met and married Wendy Clawson. Jerry enjoyed helping people. He volunteered as both a firefighter and EMT for many years in Babbitt and Lakeland, MN as well as Jacobus, PA. Jerry worked at LTV Steel until it closed, followed by several other occupations as well as self-employment where he spent a lot of time being a resource to many. There wasn’t a job that he didn’t know how to do or a person he wouldn’t help.
Jerry attended Heritage Trail Bible Church and was involved in various ministries over the years. He loved to fish, and especially loved fishing with his kids and grandkids. Jerry was outgoing and loved talking to people as well as sharing the Gospel with all who would listen. Jerry spent his life in service to the Lord, whether it was sharing the Gospel or being used in the lives of others; there was nowhere the Lord could not take him, and he was always willing to answer any call that came through. Jerry was a blessing to all who knew him and will be greatly missed by many.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, brother Michael Williams, and twin brother Doug (Maryanne) Williams. Jerry is survived by Wendy, his former wife of 42 years, siblings Patrick (Darlene) Williams, Sister-in-Law Maryanne(Doug) Williams, Julie Williams, Edie (CT) Gordon, and Ann Williams. Children; Melissa Williams, Nathan (Patricia) Williams, and Kalah (Jeremy) McGaha, grandchildren Adrianna Lehmkuhl, Mason Williams, Chase Carpenter, Reed Williams, Jameson Williams, and one he didn’t get to meet, Collins McGaha as well as many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service for Jerry will be held January 31st, 2026, at Heritage Trail Bible Church at 11:00.
