Gregory Paul Lee was called home to rest in eternal peace on May 11, 2026. Born April 27, 1959 to the late Fannie and Daniel Alston, Gregory Lee was referred to as Paul by his loved ones. Paul attended First Baptist Church from childhood until his adult years, catching the church bus every Sunday morning and evening for BTU. He was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School and later graduated cum laude “with honors” from Norfolk State University. After moving to Washington, D.C., Paul was employed with the Department of Corrections for 30 years.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marlee Lee; daughter, Latesha Edwards; brother, Charles “Jimbo” Lee; sister, Izola Lee; and niece, Danetta Lee.

Paul leaves to cherish his memories his daughter, Lasette Lee; two grandsons, Nasir Etheridge and Leon Lee; two brothers, Christopher (Gail) Lee and Daniel (Beverly) Lee; two sisters, Jennifer O’Bryant and Gina (Stanford) Jones; a special brother/nephew, Gary “Tony” Lee (Joyce); along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and loving friends.
