Helen June Moss

Helen J. Moss "June", 90, of Silver Spring, Maryland passed away peacefully on August 13, 2026 surrounded by family. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Born on June 4, 1936, she was raised on a family farm in Edgar, Wisconsin, the youngest of nine brothers and sisters. June was known for her independence, artistic creativity, generosity, warmth, humor, and always being there for family and friends. She dedicated her life to providing for and spending time with her family. She was a gifted oil painter and exceptionally talented artist, seamstress, decorator, and gardener. She loved spending mornings listening to country music with her beloved kitty, Tinkerbell. She is survived by her daughters, Dr. Kimberly S. Moss and Stephanie N. Moss; her granddaughter, Sarah June Moss Alley; her sister, Jane (Ullman) Wachtl; and her brother, Wayne Ullman. She was preceded in death by her parents, Emil and Anna (King) Ullman; her husband of 60 years, Forrest M. Moss; and her beloved 15-year-old son, Russell W. Moss II.
