Hyunsik Chung was born on December 7th, 1931 as the youngest of six children of Woonho Chung. She was well educated and worked as a nurse. She married her husband, Bongkyoon Shin, and cared for her mother-in-law, children, and grandchildren. She Actively volunteered in various church communities.

She immigrated to the United States in 2007 with her family. She dedicated her life and showed earnest love to her children and grandchildren. Loved by all, she returned to God at the age of 94 in the company of her family.
