Jane Hayum

Obituary for Jane Reynolds Hayum:

In loving memory of Jane Reynolds Hayum, a devoted homemaker, mother and wife. Jane Reynolds, born on 1/2/1929, in Washington DC, passed away suddenly of acute pancreatitis on July 20, 2024 in Vienna, Virginia. Jane's life was a tapestry woven with love and care.  She dedicated herself  to her late husband, family and home. Jane's essence shone through in the stitches of the embroidered quilts she lovingly crafted for each of her grandchildren.

A woman of many talents and passions, Jane  delighted her family and friends with her exquisite dishes and baked goods. Beyond the kitchen, Jane found joy in the pages of books, the bloom of flowers in her gardens & fresh produce of all sorts, the melody of piano keys, and the thrill of watching baseball - a sport she truly loved.

Jane' was dedicated to lifelong learning in many aspects of her life. 

Jane leaves behind  her surviving children : Amy & Richard Lynch, Susan & Scott Haltzman, Andrew Hayum, Brian Hayum, 9 grandchildren & 7 great grandchildren. 

Jane was married to her late husband,  Walter Hayum, for 72 years. She is predeceased by her son, David Hayum.

In honoring Jane's memory, let us remember her strength, kindness and warmth, that touched the hearts of those who knew her. May she rest in peace knowing that she will forever hold a special place in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to be part of her life's journey.
