In Loving Memory of Jeff Blevins

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jeff Blevins on January 18, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. Surrounded by the love of his family, he peacefully departed from this world in the comfort of his home.

Jeff leaves behind a legacy of love and strength. He was a devoted husband to Diane, a loving father to Jeffrey, Daniel (Taeya), and Elle (Connor) Anderson, a cherished son to Virginia and Allen, a dear brother to John, and a beloved uncle and friend to many.

A true hero, Jeff dedicated his life to serving others. He proudly served as a police officer for over 30 years, bravely responding to the tragedies of 9/11 and the Navy Yard Shooting. His service extended to the US Department of State, where he continued to protect and safeguard lives. Jeff's unwavering commitment to duty and his compassion for others will forever be remembered.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Jeff was a man of remarkable character. He was strong yet gentle, kind and compassionate, with a vibrant sense of humor. His courage in the face of adversity inspired all who knew him. After overcoming his initial cancer diagnosis, he was a beacon of hope to his family, a true testament to his resilience.

Jeff's presence brought warmth and joy to all around him. He was known for his early mornings, always ready with a pot of coffee for loved ones as they started their day. One of his final requests was to listen to Tim McGraw's "Live Like You Were Dying," a poignant reminder of his zest for life.

The memories Jeff created with his family will forever be cherished. They will carry his spirit forward, honoring his legacy of love, service, and unwavering strength.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered prayers, support, and words of comfort during this difficult time. A celebration of Jeff's life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Officer Down Memorial Page (ODMP), an organization dedicated to honoring the lives and sacrifices of fallen law enforcement officers. This aligns with Jeff's unwavering commitment to those who served their communities.
