Jeffrey Alan Lyons, a  loving husband, father, brother, friend and devoted federal government employee, passed away unexpectedly on June 4, 2026. Born on July 16, 1966, in Alexandria, Virginia, Jeff was a man whose dedication to service, family, and his passions defined a life well-lived.

Jeff's career was a testament to his unwavering commitment and exemplary work ethic. Beginning his professional journey at the young age of 19 in 1985, he proudly served the federal government for nearly 42 years, with his anniversary of service approaching this September. Throughout his distinguished career, Jeff earned numerous bonus and spot awards, recognizing his exceptional contributions and steadfast dedication to his work.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Jeff was a man of many interests and talents. An avid football enthusiast, he was most content on Sundays, enjoying the game while cheering fervently for the Washington Redskins from his favorite chair. His love of gaming and knack for fixing things were well known among his family and friends. Always equipped with the right gadget, Jeff had a remarkable ability to mend and improve whatever needed attention—a skill that brought both practical help and joy to those around him.

Jeff took great pride in his family, finding one of his proudest moments in witnessing his son Hunter graduate from high school. His role as a husband to Lindsay Lyons, father to Hunter Lyons and step-father to Hannah Vincent, was central to his life. Jeff’s devotion extended warmly to his siblings Andrea Brenner and the bond shared with his brothers- and sisters-in-law Curtis Brenner and Scott Sigmund. He also cherished his relationships with his niece Kelly Brenner and nephew Chase Brenner, all of whom valued his kindness and support.

Jeff was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Margaret and Colin Lyons, whose memories he held dear throughout his life.
