John Christopher “Chris” Garcia passed away on August 3, 2026, in Alexandria VA.  He was born on October 19, 1951, in Arlington VA and lived most of his life in the Northern Virginia area.  Chris graduated from Bishop O’Connell High School where he lettered in four sports and went on to graduate from George Mason University with a degree in education.  He is survived by his daughter Sharon, his brothers Mike Garcia (Allison) and Jimmy (Linda) Garcia and sister-in-law Natalie in addition to many nieces and nephews.  He is pre-deceased by his parents Thomas “Herb” Garcia and Grace Lorraine Garcia and brother Tom Garcia.  Chris loved sports and music and will be remembered by friends and family for his larger than life personality.
