IN LOVING MEMORY OF
John Russell
Kestel
November 20, 1980 – December 27, 2025
John Russell Kestel, a beloved father, partner, and culinary artist, who passed away unexpectedly on December 27, 2025. Born on November 20, 1980, in Fort Pierce, Florida, John was not just a talented chef with over two decades of experience, but also a kind-hearted individual who touched the lives of many.
John's culinary journey began humbly without formal education; he earned his way to greatness through hard work and sheer dedication. Starting as an apprentice, he rose through the ranks, eventually serving as a chef at prestigious events, including cooking at the White House. John was a master of many culinary arts, and renowned for his impressive food presentations. His work was reflected in the passion he poured into every dish and the countless catering events he managed, including his recent role as the Executive Chef at Main Event Caterers.
He was not only a talented professional but also a computer genius and tech mogul from an early age. His desire for knowledge was insatiable; he loved delving into various subjects, striving to learn as much as possible. John's deep spirituality guided him through life, and he held strong faith in God and cherished his love for natural crystals and the energy of the earth.
To his family and friends, John was known for his authenticity and strength. He was an amazing father to his children, Emma and Evan, who were everything to him. He made every holiday brighter with his famous bread pudding, eagerly anticipating the smiles it brought to those who gathered for the feast. His love extended beyond his children, as he adored Nova, his precious dog, sharing a bond that was deeply meaningful.
John's life was tragically cut short due to an accident. He is preceded in death by his beloved Grandmother Margaret Kestel and stoic Grandfather Harold John Kestel. Blessedly, he is survived by his beautiful and loving partner, Adela Alas, his loving devoted mother, Kathleen Kestel, his cherished children, Emma and Evan Kestel, the mother of his children, Angie Wiese, and his brother, Arthur Bellingham. His spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
His life was a testament to the powerful combination of a brilliant mind, an unyielding spirit, and a deeply beautiful soul. He leaves behind beautiful memories for those fortunate enough to have shared in his journey. Remembrances of his laughter, wisdom, and compassion will continue to inspire all who were graced by his presence. May he rest in peace, comforted by the faith and love that defined his life.
