It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of John Thomas Lambert, who departed this life on November 22, 2024, at the age of 84. Born on December 3, 1939, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, John spent his later years in Alexandria, Virginia.

He also leaves behind his former wife, Jonna Warner.
John was preceded in death by his parents, John George Lampert and Margaret Lampert, as well as his beloved sisters, Jacqueline McQuillen and Jane Lampert.
John led a life of purpose and creativity, distinguished by his extraordinary talent in the printing industry. As a supervisor in the graphics department, he contributed to iconic projects, including National Geographic and Time Life Magazine. His dedication to his craft extended to teaching and mentoring aspiring professionals in the field of printing, where he was revered for his generosity and expertise. John’s guidance and encouragement enabled many of his students to achieve success beyond their dreams, leaving a legacy of inspiration and accomplishment.
John also had a remarkable flair for design, which he expressed through his work in the home improvement industry, creating stunning decks and gazebos. He was an avid cyclist who found joy and solace riding 10 to 20 miles through the streets of Washington, D.C., and Virginia. A devoted fitness enthusiast, John made health and vitality a priority, spending countless hours at the gym.
Despite his many talents and pursuits, John’s greatest passion was his family and friends. His warmth, kindness, and generosity touched everyone who knew him, leaving a lasting impact on countless lives. His favorite saying, “Let it slide,” was a reflection of his ability to approach life with grace and humor—qualities that endeared him to all who had the privilege of knowing him.
John was deeply committed to giving back, particularly to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, which he supported throughout his life. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in John’s memory to this noble cause.
Honoring his wishes, John’s ashes will be shared with the waters of the Atlantic Ocean, where his spirit can continue to embrace the loved ones he held dear.
Thank you to everyone who enriched John’s life with your love, support, and friendship.
