Joseph Timothy Duffy

Joseph “Tim” Timothy Duffy passed on August 21st, 2024 at the age of 67 years old at INOVA Fairfax Medical Center. He was born on December 26th, 1956 in the DC Metropolitan area to his preceded parents, Joseph “Joe” and Barbara Duffy. 

Tim will be dearly missed but remembered as a fun-loving, humorous, and spirited man who always brought joy to those around him. He graduated from George C. Marshall High School in class of 75’. Tim began his career as a jeweler at Bailey Banks & Biddle before ultimately dedicating his life to working as a master craftsman in home remodeling and additions. His work was not just a job but a passion that impacted the lives of many; his devotion provided lifelong bonds with friends and family. He found joy in the simplest of pleasures and took pride in all that he loved.

Tim’s loving spirit is carried on by his wife, Sharon “Shari” Duffy; their children, Christopher Crowther, Lynda Chaney, Heather Duffy, and Danielle Duffy, his grandchildren; Jude Alexander, Adonai “Addi” Alexander, and Olive Wossene, along with his siblings; John “Butch” Duffy (Carmen), Theresa Presley (James “Bud”), Jean Winkle (David), and several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members. 

Family, friends, and the community are invited to the Columbia Gardens Cemetery in Arlington, VA from 3 - 5 pm on Monday, October 7th, 2024 to reminisce and honor the life of Joseph Timothy Duffy. A celebration of life will be held on a later date in Charlottesville, VA that will be announced shortly.
