Joseph Steven Hodges

Joseph Steven Hodges of Fairfax, Virginia passed away on Monday, August 12, 2024. Born in Norfolk, Virginia to Joseph and Vonnie Hodges, Steve (or Poopsie as his mom lovingly called him), loved to play basketball and began his lifelong love affair with the Chesapeake Area. He moved to Blacksburg, where he got a degree in Business from Virginia Tech and gained a band of brothers in the Tau Delta fraternity. After college, he moved to Northern Virginia where he had a successful career in business, even starting his own company and traveling all over Europe. This was the era in his life where most of his hilarious hijinks occured. He married the love of his life, Mary Hodges, in 1980. They were married for 32 beautiful years and had three children, Ashley, JoJo, and Clay. They may have given him a few of his gray hairs. He became a grandfather to Jack Adams in 2022. 

His children will always fondly remember his dedication to their family and his friends, his love of Sandbridge Beach, shag music, the Hokies, and a good glass of wine.
