Joyce Ann Schleicher(Nee Benner) beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 15,2026 at the age of 89.

Born to Fannie Virginia Small Loudan and Frank Benner.

She is survived by her children Stephen Bocklage, Judith Arndts, Nancy McKenna, Robert Schleicher, Paul Schleicher and Timothy Schleicher. Her grandchildren Katie Sussan, Tabitha Schleicher, Patrick Schleicher, Andrew Schleicher, Amber Schleicher, Julia Schleicher, Matthew Schleicher and Olivia Schleicher. Great grandchildren Harper Sussan, Connor Sussan, Bryce Keller, Brielle Keller and Bella Keller.

Joyce was a longtime member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Baltimore, where she formed lasting friendships that continued well beyond the church’s closing.

Joyce enjoyed bus trips, long drives to get out and see the scenery, holiday meals at her home with her family and on any given day a good game of scrabble .

A memorial service will be held on Saturday May 2, 2026 at 11:00 am at Living Water Lutheran Church 8912 Philadelphia Rd. Rosedale Md. 21237
