Julie Elizabeth Ireland, born on September 18, 1964, in New Bern, NC, passed away on December 28, 2025, in Washington, DC. She was a daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother.

Julie graduated from High School in 1983 and went on to obtain her CNA license in March of 1992. Her dedication to caring for others was evident in her choice of profession, reflecting the compassion that defined her character.

Beyond her professional achievements, Julie had a vibrant personality that shone through her various hobbies and interests. She loved to draw, nurturing her creative side, and found solace in gardening, where she could cultivate beauty and life. Julie also enjoyed collecting cow figurines, a pastime that brought her joy.

Julie leaves behind family, including her sister Wendy Potter, her son Travis Biquet, daughter-in-law Morgan Biquet, and daughter Holli Banks alongside her son-in-law Paul Banks. She was a grandmother to four grandchildren. Additionally, she is survived by a host of nieces and nephews.

Julie was preceded in death by her father GR Ireland, her mother Peggy Ireland, and her brothers Robby Ireland and Paul Ireland.

Julie Elizabeth Ireland leaves behind a legacy of love, creativity, and compassion that will be missed. Although Julie’s life included a difficult journey with mental illness, she still showed love when she was able, reminding us of the importance of compassion and understanding.
