Lillian “Lilly” Elizabeth St Paul (September 17, 1957 – August 11, 2025)

Lillian “Lilly” Elizabeth St Paul, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at home in Frederick, Maryland, after courageously facing a return of cancer (Leukemia) along with multiple health challenges, including Chronic Kidney Failure, Congestive Heart Failure, and most recently, Advanced Stage Liver Cirrhosis. She was 67 years old.

Born on September 17, 1957, in New Jersey, to Carl Roach (born in Winfield, West Virginia) and the late Ruth Roach (Maiden Name: Pöttgen and later remarried as Gorman) from Cologne, Germany; Lilly received majority of her public education through the Frederick County Public School System in Frederick, MD. Lilly carried a warm, nurturing spirit that touched everyone around her. She was a cook by profession and a homemaker by heart—known not only for her delicious meals but also for her magical ability to turn any house into a cozy, loving home. Her hands could bring plants back to life and comfort to anyone in need. Her smile was warm, inviting, and truly contagious. She had the kind of heart to give one her last if she had it.

Lilly is preceded in death by her mother, Ruth Gorman; her sister, Susan Gorman; and her son, Leroy Millberry. She is survived by her children, Amanda McKoy (husband Gerald McKoy Jr.), Adrianne St Paul (wife Elsa Fritz), and Jasmine Metal (significant other Tyler Twenhafel); her two cherished grandchildren, Devron McKoy and Devani McKoy, with whom she shared an unbreakable bond; a sister, Debbie Gauvain; three nieces, three nephews, and her spouse, Eddie Jouvert, from whom she was separated but remained legally married.

Lilly’s passions were many and deeply felt: she loved the changing seasons, especially fall—her favorite. The vibrant colors, the crisp air, and the quiet calm of autumn brought her joy and peace. Rainy and stormy weather were a comfort to her, often paired with a warm cup of coffee, a James Patterson book, or the sounds of soul and R&B music—favorites like The Delfonics and The Isley Brothers playing in the background. She took pleasure in photographing nature’s beauty, spending time with her grandchildren and family, cooking unforgettable meals, and playing with her dachshund, Tinky.

Though no service or funeral will be held, in keeping with her final wishes, Lilly will be remembered exactly as she would have wanted: full of life, smiles, love, generosity, and light. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her family and all those who were lucky enough to know her.
