Lopamudra Daksha, affectionately known as Nina, departed this world on May 25, 2025, at the age of 49, after a courageous battle with advanced stage cancer. She was born on October 17, 1975, in Shantikunj, Haridwar, where her roots in spirituality began to blossom, influenced by her upbringing in the serene environment of Shantikunj Ashram and guided by her spiritual master, Pt Sriram Sharma Acharya.
Nina was a remarkable individual, whose genuine warmth and caring nature touched the lives of everyone she encountered. Her high ideals, driven by a deep sense of spirituality, were evident in her everyday actions. She was known for her disciplined approach to life, paying attention to the needs of others, and cultivating long-lasting friendships that exemplified her kindness and loyalty.
An accomplished scholar, she was honored as a President Award winner and held an advanced degree in Education, Arts, and Humanitarian efforts. Nina was passionate about volunteering in children's education, reflecting her unwavering commitment to uplifting the community.
Beyond her impressive professional achievements, Nina had a zest for life reflected in her numerous hobbies and interests. She loved exploring culture, traveling, and indulging in literature while appreciating the beauty in arts and museums. Her love for international cuisine, along with her appreciation for nature and hiking, allowed her to savor the richness of life fully.
Nina's memory will be cherished by her loving family: her devoted husband, Max Daksha; her son, Manu Daksha, and his wife, Vika Daksha; her son, Chad Daksha, and his wife, Miki Daksha; her brother, Anshuman Dash; and her parents, Ashok and Mani Dash. She leaves behind a legacy of inspiration not only within her family but also among dearest friends and the youth of next generation.
To her beloved soulmate, her husband Max summed it up beautifully: “You were so strong, kind, genuine, gritty, gentle, independent, intelligent, wise, and above all, selflessly caring. You never asked for anything and lived life to the fullest. You made us laugh and fed us good food.” Nina was simple yet classy, and she spread joy wherever she went. Her life was a testament to kindness, intelligence, and an unwavering spirit.
Though her time with us was far too brief, Nina lived a full and meaningful life, one that encourages us all to strive to be good human beings. She built a strong family, improved countless lives, and made the world a better place through her countless acts of love and kindness. Her spirit will forever inspire those who were lucky enough to know her.
