Marcia Margery (Anderson) Harney

June 5, 1940 - April 15, 2026

Marcia Margery Harney, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2026.

She was the daughter of Mervin and Margery Anderson, mother of Kathleen Harney, Oma to Simone (Bryan) Davie, and great-grandmother to Gregory Davie. Sister of Ann, Jane, and Lewie.

Marcia grew up in Middleport, NY. She graduated from Royalton Hartland High School.

Marcia lived life on her own terms. Showing love to her family and friends through generosity which knew no bounds. She took pleasure in baking, cooking, and sharing recipes with friends. Oma loved to travel and no road trip was too long.

As a hardworking career woman, she spent 14 years at Lockport Savings Bank where she met lifelong friends. She worked for many years as a legal secretary in both New York and Minnesota.

Marcia followed her daughter to Minnesota in 1998, where she had the great pleasure of seeing her granddaughter Simone grow up and graduate from college. She wore her title of Oma with pride and encouraged everyone to call her that.

Living the last 6 years at Holy Trinity in Louisville, KY she forged strong friendships. With whom she enjoyed weekly luncheons and evenings filled with good food and laughter.

She will be remembered fondly and deeply loved.

There will be no service. A memorial spreading of the ashes will be at a later date. Marcia would like her friends and family to remember her for the good times she had with them and to celebrate her life.
