Marilyn Carl, 83, of Ashburn, Virginia, passed away on August17 following a brief illness. Marilyn was born in Mansfield, Ohio, to Howard and Helen Miller. Marilyn graduated from Mansfield Senior High School and the Ohio State University School of Dentistry before practicing as a dental hygienist. She was preceded in death by her daughter Kathie and her brother Bill. She is survived by her husband Phil and her son, Matt. Marilyn was a gentle and kind soul who put other people at ease and was once known as the “Queen of Smiles.” Her eternal optimism inspired friends and family alike. A Celebration of Life will be held at Christ the Servant Lutheran Church in Reston, Virginia, at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 6. The committal will be at 11:00 a.m. on Sept. 12 at the Mansfield, Ohio, Cemetery.
